Yakiniku Don

so fast.. but so good

What You Need

Ingredients (1–2 servings):

  • Rice

  • Sliced Beef (can sub with chicken if preferred)

    • you can slice frozen beef or buy from an asian grocery store

  • Sesame seeds

  • Soy Sauce

  • Mirin

  • Sesame Oil

  • Optional is buying pre-made yakiniku sauce


Let’s Cook!

Sauce:

  • Soy sauce

  • Mirin

  • Sesame oil

  • Ratio is 2:1:1 for soy sauce, mirin, and sesame oil. Adjust to preferred taste

How to Prep the Chicken:

  1. Cut frozen beef into thin slices, or buy pre-sliced beef from asian grocery stores

  2. Slice green onions diagonally for presentation

  3. Prepare the sauce ahead of time if not buying premade

  4. Cook the sliced beef on the stovetop. Watch carefully as these will cut fast regardless of the cut

To Serve:

  • Hot over a bowl of rice

  • If you have a brush, you can brush your meat with the sauce

  • Otherwise you can dip the meat in the sauce as you eat
